Lynn builds by hand, enjoying the feel and texture of various clays and the challenges they present when making and experimenting.
With hand building, using pinching, coiling and slabs, the possibilities for new forms are endless.
Lynn gives rein to her imagination, sketching out new ideas in her workbooks and then allowing the clay to further lead her into various permutations on a theme. She then puts a great deal of thought into selecting appropriate glazes and oxides to enhance the form and the message.
Working at Bethlehem Pottery weekly on club day and at home in her studio, provides opportunities for Lynn to follow up and focus on new exciting ideas.
Lynn’s pieces vary between domestic ware, such as vases and bowls, and light-hearted sculptural work, particularly with a bird theme.
